When interpreting the song, “The Climb”, sung by Hannah Montana, I am reminded of my childhood, my youth, and a time when I was careless and free of life. This song resembles that life is beautiful regardless of its ups and downs. As life continues to knock you down, you must not forget your struggles or challenges. The Climb has taught me to never give up on my life goals and to keep climbing until I reach the top of my mountain (my goal). The literal lyric Hannah uses as a message is to keep going, keep “climbing”, and to keep the “faith”. The climb portrays that even though you might be struggling, do not worry about the things that you have yet to accomplish. The Climb to me, is to forgive yourself for making mistakes. It shows that even if you fail something, you are not a failure; continue to keep climbing. Although there might be obstacles that you feel are hindering your dreams and life-long aspirations; do not give up. This song is so beautiful because it helped young children, such as myself, learn how to forgive yourself, love yourself, and have faith in yourself. Now that I am older and an adult, I have realized that believing in your victory and success is extremely important. By striving to constantly be the best version of yourself, not only will you succeed in life, but you will also make yourself happy.
